First Burial
1762................Bethany Road Cemetery, also known as Pearl Street Cemetery. This is the oldest
cemetery. The town owns one acre (small section of the Catholic Cemetery)
located on Bethany Road.
1777................North Main Street Cemetery - Established in 1760, located across from the Monson
Flower Shop.
1779................Moulton Hill Road Cemetery, located at the intersection of Moulton Hill Road and
Wales Road.
1791................Butler District Cemetery, located on Butler Road.
1800................Brimfield Road Cemetery is also known as East Hill Road Cemetery and Grout
Cemetery, is located on the corner of Aldrich and Brimfield Roads.
1803................Main Street Cemetery, located next to Main Street School (now the Town
Administration Building).
1810................Bennett Road Cemetery was called Colton Hollow Cemetery, the Day Burial Ground
and #2 Cemetery. Located on Bennett Road near the Hampden Town Line off of
Upper Hampden Road.
1813................Stafford Road Cemetery also known as Gage District Cemetery, is located on May
Hill Road off of Stafford Road.
1825................Hillside Cemetery, also known as #1 Cemetery and Center Cemetery, located on the
corner of Mill and Main Streets.
1969................Hillcrest Cemetery, located on Wilbraham Road.
There are two private cemeteries where only family members were buried that are not maintained by the town, they are:
David Bradway Lot at Moulton Hill (Child's Road)
Pease Burying Ground - Lower Hampden Road
