Massachusetts law mandates that all dogs aged 6 months and over are required to be licensed in the City/Town in which they reside. A rabies certificate and proof of spaying or neutering must be presented when applying for the license. The licensing year begins on April 1 and ends on March 31 of each year. Renewal of licenses for the following year can be made beginning
in March. The fee is $15.00 for each male/female dog and $5.00 for each neutered/spayed dog.
Owners applying for a first-time kennel license should call the Town Clerk's Office for information on the procedure for applying.
