Citizen's Online Reporting System

OVERVIEW

Welcome to the Monson Police Department's Online Reporting System.  This system has been designed to accept certain non-emergency related reports.

IF YOU ARE REPORTING AN EMERGENCY, CALL 9-1-1 IMMEDIATELY

Please review the following information to determine if this online reporting system applies to your specific needs. If it does, the link at the bottom of this page will allow you to submit an online report for review. It will also allow you to print a copy of the report for free.

DOES YOUR INCIDENT QUALIFY FOR ONLINE REPORTING?

Please answer the following questions to determine if online reporting applies to you:

  • Did this incident occur outside of the Town of Monson?
  • Do you know the suspect?
  • Were you physically assaulted?
  • Is there evidence that could lead to the identification of a suspect?
  • Does this incident require an immediate police response?
If you answered NO to all of the above questions and your incident falls into one of the categories below, you should be able to file your report online.

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you cannot use this system to file an online report. Please refer to our Online Reporting FAQ page to determine the other options that are available to you.

WHAT TYPE OF INCIDENTS CAN BE REPORTED ONLINE?

The online reporting system is currently accepting the following incident types:

  • Animal Complaint
  • Annoying/Harassing Telephone Calls (with no immediate threat)
  • Extra Patrol Request
  • House Check Request
  • Identity Theft
  • Lost Property
  • Theft
  • Traffic Complaint
  • Vandalism

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU FILE AN ONLINE REPORT?

Once you have successfully completed the online reporting process, you will receive:

  • A message indicating "Your report has been submitted"
  • A temporary case number
  • An email containing a temporary printable report
All reports that are filed online will be reviewed by a supervisor. Once your report has been reviewed and approved, a permanent report will be emailed to you. Review time will vary based upon case load and the availability of a supervisor. Upon a review, you may be contacted by telephone or email in the event that further information is required or additional investigation of your case becomes necessary.

If a report is rejected during our online review process, you will receive an email detailing the reason for the rejection.

FILING A FALSE POLICE REPORT IS A CRIME AND WILL BE PROSECUTED
