During the past few years, solicitations, especially towards Seniors has increased. The following are some useful tips that will assist you in understanding your rights, identifying fraud and reporting fraud.
THREE TYPES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU SHOULD NEVER SHARE WHEN YOU ARE SOLICITED BY PHONE, EMAIL OR US MAIL:
NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD AND/OR DEBIT CARD INFORMATION
NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT AND/OR SAVINGS ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Following the above three simple rules will help you to avoid being a victim of this type of crime.
