Beginning Monday, March 17, 2008, the 2008 dog licenses will be available. Any dog six months or older needs to be licensed. The licensing period starts April 1st. A current rabies certificate must be shown to obtain a license. The fees are $15.00 for a male/female dog and $5.00 for a neutered/spayed dog, with proof of neutering/spaying required.
Licenses are available at the Town Clerk's office or through the mail. Owners must provide the rabies certificate, spay/neuter certificate, and a check made payable to the Town of Monson. For mail transactions a stamped, self-addressed envelope must also be included for return of the license; otherwise, the license will be held at the Clerk's office for pickup by the owner.
