The Annual Town Meeting is on Monday, May 10, 2010 as established by local bylaw.
The Board of Selectmen announced at its March 9, 2010 meeting its schedule for the setting of the warrant for the annual and also scheduled a special town meeting within the annual to address any business pertaining to the current fiscal year.
Due to the posting requirements as established by Massachusetts General Laws, the following schedule is proposed for submitting requested warrant articles.
The Board of Selectmen will open both warrants on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 and will commence voting on requested articles.
At its meeting on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, it will finalize the special town meeting warrant and is hoping to close the annual town meeting warrant barring any unforeseen circumstances. The Board of Selectmen did acknowledge that the local election is between these two meetings and it intends to respect the new member of the Board of Selectmen who will be elected in this process and make every effort to accommodate that person's desires as related to involvement in this process.
Please submit your requested articles in writing no later than Friday, April 9, 2010 for consideration by the Board of Selectmen.
